Long-time host of the now defunct Volvo Masters,Valderrama is, perhaps, best known as the site of the 1997 Ryder Cup. It is here where non-playing captain, Seve Ballesteros, inspired his European team on to a 14.5 to 13.5 victory over the USA who mounted a furious comeback assault in the final day singles.
Valderrama plays to a par 71 and covers 6985 yards. The signature hole is the 563 yard par 5, with its 2 tiered green. There is a waterfall and pond to swallow up any shot missed to the right, with a trap and a tree waiting for you if you overcompensate to the left.
