This is a redraw of the five time U.S. Open venue, Shinnecock Hills. The redraw became necessary when the course itself grew from 6996 yds to 7479 yds, while maintaining its par at 70. In order to have a realistic 2018 U.S. Open we had to drastically lengthen the course. The club is one of the oldest in the country, dating back to 1893. The second ever Open was held here in 1896. The other 4 Opens were 1986 (Raymond Floyd), 1995 (Corey Pavin), 2004 (Retief Goosen), and this past year 2018 (Brooks Koepka). Its currently ranked 4th in the U.S. by Golf Digest.
