Medinah CC (PC)

SKU: 02-1023 Category:

Medinah CC, just west of Chicago, was the recent host of the 2012 Ryder Cup which, depending upon your rooting interest, saw the great European comeback or the dismal U.S. collapse. In preparation, some 1100+ trees were removed and the course was lengthened to 7600 yards.

Medinah features 3 long par 3s that require tee shots to cross Lake Kadijah, always exciting in the midst of competition.
The course has also been the host of 2 stirring PGA Championships in 1999 and 2006, both won by Tiger Woods. Three U.S. Opens have been played here with Cary Middlecoff (1949), Lou Graham (1975), and Hale Irwin (1990) the winners.

Its also hosted 3 Western Opens and 1 Senior Open.
