SherCo Classic 1941 Season (PR)

SKU: SHR-1941 Category:

1941.  By the end of the calendar year, America would be at war.  But over the six months of the baseball season, America was treated to two feats that may never again be matched.
The first was Ted Williams batting .406, the last man, to-date, in major league history to reach the coveted .400 mark, clinching the milestone on a final-day doubleheader against Philadelphia.
The second was the 56-game hitting streak of Joe DiMaggio, The Yankee Clipper.  For nearly nine weeks, the nation was spellbound at the streak, which ended due to the glove of Cleveland third baseman, Ken Keltner.
Relive this magical season with SherCo … and see if Williams will hit .400 for you …
